 | Yamada Torches Lights for 5 Hits Tuesday, July 29th, 2014 Hidetada Yamada was a tough out and went 5 for 5 against Phoenix in a fine hitting display. But the Lights still managed to beat the Spokane Bulldogs 16-7. "I got my pitches and I connected. They all found the right holes on the diamond. Some days you hit shots and they're right at somebody... and some days they fall in." Yamada also added, "And some days you lose, no matter how well you play. 5 hits in a game ought to win it." Don't know if it is any consolation to him, but he will get his name put in the record books. Hidetada Yamada singled in the 1st, hit a three-run home run off Bernard Provost in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 6th and hit an RBI double in the 8th. So far this year Yamada is batting .271 with 8 home runs. |   |
