 | Cougars Lose Héctor Villalobos Wednesday, July 31st, 2013 Dealing with injuries is part of the game, and now Héctor Villalobos of the Cougars knows this firsthand. He was injured against the Prussian Marxists while throwing a pitch. Because of a stretched elbow ligament, the Anniston reliever is expected to miss 10 months. Villalobos was a little upset, but understands it comes with the territory. "Baseball can be a contact sport. You try to be careful, but no matter how careful you are, injuries happen."
This year Villalobos has made 9 relief appearances with no saves. In 8.2 innings, he has permitted 6 hits, fanned 5 hitters and recorded no wins and no losses with a 2.08 ERA. | |
