 | Au Sensational, 5-5 Thursday, September 17th, 2015 Li-chi Au exploded for a barrage of base hits today at Durham Bulls Athletic Park. The El Paso right fielder had a field day against the Durham Bulls, finishing with a 5-5 day and a spot in the record book. "It's a shame that we lost the game. It's really hard to enjoy what I did today," he said, lamenting the 8-7 loss. "You would think 5 hits would do it." Asked about his great day, he replied, "My hitting philosophy is pretty simple. I focus just to see the ball and try to get a good pitch." Well, Au must have focused at least 5 times and apparently got some good pitches, too. It was one of his best days ever with the bat. Li-chi Au singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, doubled in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and singled in the 8th. This year Au has socked 222 hits in 617 at-bats for a .360 average with 18 home runs. He is getting on base at a .402 pace and his totals also include 86 RBIs and 127 runs scored. |   |
