Jerry Morgan went 5 for 5 against the Leningrad Communists at Bulldog Stadium and the Phantoms picked up a 8-2 victory. "What a day!" he said. "We win and I get 5 hits! Couldn't be better!" "He was patient up there today," the Coronado skipper told the press after the game. "I like the way he waited for his pitch and wasn't overly agressive. Morgan has a tendency to go after some bad balls sometimes." Jerry Morgan singled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, hit a two-run triple in the 5th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
