Un-four-gettable: Rosas Hits for Cycle
Wednesday, July 29th, 2015
"It's too bad I can't do that every day," Jorge Rosas said with a smile to reporters after today's game. "It would do wonders for my batting average." Rosas had every right to be in a good mood after hitting for the cycle today against Springfield at Wittenburg Field. The Bombers won the ballgame 9-2, he hit for the cycle, had a 4-for-5 game and boosted his batting average up a few points. The 20-year-old Bronx second baseman chalked up 5 runs batted in and 2 runs scored for the game, too.

Who says you can't have it all?

He told the press that a triple is the tough hit to get in a cycle. "As soon as it left the bat, guys jumped off the bench and were rooting hard for me to have enough gas to get there," Rosas said. "It was hard to enjoy it... I was breathing too hard... you got to really be in shape to run out a triple."

Jorge Rosas hit an RBI triple in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Eric Walker in the 3rd, hit a two-run single in the 4th, flied out in the 6th and doubled in the 9th.

During the current season Rosas is batting at a .324 clip with 8 home runs and 20 RBIs. He has played in 18 games and scored 18 times.
