 | Cats Rogers Smacks 5 Hits Tuesday, July 21st, 2015 5 hits in 7 at-bats. It doesn't happen every day, and when it does, it's exciting. Today Ben Rogers of the Fort Worth Cats had a sensational 5-7 game against Leningrad at Bulldog Stadium. He rifled base hits all over the ballpark in his team's 27-1 shellacking of the Communists. In the postgame press conference he joked, "Heck, that's a week's worth of hitting for me and I did it all in one day. I guess I can take the rest of the week off... Right, skipper?" Ben Rogers flied out in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 5th, grounded out in the 7th, singled in the 8th, singled in the 8th and hit an RBI single in the 9th. For the year Rogers is hitting .323 with 6 home runs. His stats include 36 RBI and 33 runs scored. |   |
