Just ask Jesús Cruz, who put together a stellar month out of the pen. The Bristol City Smugglers reliever, 19, kept the opposition off balance all month as he held them to a .089 average and walked away with the Kade Stenson League Pitcher of the Month award for June. Cruz posted a 3-1 mark and a 0.66 ERA in 14 relief appearances. In 13.2 innings, he had 9 saves, 23 strikeouts, and 1 walk. During this season he has made 30 relief appearances, earning a 7-1 record with 18 saves. In 32.2 innings Cruz has struck out 46 with a 1.93 ERA. |   |
