 | Amano Sizzles -- Smokes Bulls for 5 Hits Friday, May 22nd, 2015 The Cacti whipped the Bulls 16-9 at Durham Bulls Athletic Park and Kiichi Amano had a big hand in the win. The Cacti first baseman came to the plate 5 times and collected 5 hits. It was a good day for Amano and a tough day for Durham. "I just go up there and whale away and hope it hits the barrel of the bat," he said. "There really isn't any plan." Plan or not, Amano delivered today -- 5-5 is outstanding in any league. Kiichi Amano singled in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off David Cole in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit a two-run double in the 6th, singled in the 7th and walked in the 9th. This season Amano is batting .281 with 10 home runs. |   |
