 | Kobayashi Stretches Hit String to 20 Wednesday, May 13th, 2015 The red-hot hitting Takanibu Kobayashi is riding high with a 20-consecutive-game hitting streak and is drawing a lot of attention at the ballpark and in the press. The 24-year-old Billings center fielder continued the streak today at The Death Star with 1 hit in 4 at-bats as the Mustangs got the best of the Detroit Death Stars 8-0.
"It's great," one of his teammates said. "To be able to hit behind him and watch him, it's been fun. It's been fun and exciting to watch. Not only fans in Billings, but baseball fans everywhere appreciate what is going on right now, and it has everyone on the edge of their seats wondering what he is going to do." Takanibu Kobayashi grounded out in the 1st, struck out in the 3rd, flied out in the 5th, singled in the 8th and walked in the 9th.
