 | Morgan Goes on Rampage Against Bulls Monday, April 27th, 2015 On top of the Astoria hit parade today was Jeff Morgan. He went to the plate 6 times and marched away with 5 hits, sparking the Argonauts to a 9-7 victory over the Durham Bulls.
The sweet swinging second baseman told reporters, "Each time I went to the plate, I was thinking about hitting the ball hard somewhere. When I focus on that, I usually have quality at-bats."
The skipper of the Bulls wailed to the press, "Too much plate. Not the way we planned it. Any hitter in the league will rip you when you do that."
Jeff Morgan doubled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, struck out in the 6th, singled in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 8th.
