 | KSL Trophy Goes to Sumption of St. John Monday, September 1st, 2014 So far in his young career, Robert Sumption has kept a low profile, but after his performance at the plate last week, he attracted the notice of the rest of the Kade Stenson League in a big way as he was named the Player of the Week today for his efforts.
The 24-year-old St. John Stingrays third baseman hit at a torrid .500 clip as he collected 11 hits in 22 at-bats, 3 home runs, 10 RBIs and 7 runs scored.
In his stats this season, Sumption has posted a batting average of .286 with 149 hits in 521 at-bats, 20 home runs and 76 RBIs. He has also scored 85 runs, walked 48 times and compiled a .345 OBP. |   |
