 | Denton Runs Hit String to 20 Straight Games Wednesday, May 14th, 2014 Indian Wells could care less about Ed Denton's hitting streak. All they care about is who won the game. The Aeropostales manager told BNN, "Not to belittle his streak, but at the end of the day, the important thing is winning the game, not stopping a hitting streak." Well, the Aeropostales didn't stop Ed Denton today, but they won the game 7-6 over the Mustangs. The Billings shortstop was 4-for-5 in the loss and extended his hitting streak to 20 games. Ed Denton hit an RBI single in the 1st, singled in the 4th, grounded out in the 6th, singled in the 8th and singled in the 9th. Denton is currently batting .357 with 1 home run and 24 RBIs. |   |
