 | Sabercats Chill Martínez's Hot Streak Thursday, September 26th, 2013 The Birmingham Bobcats lost to the Mdewanketon Sabercats 7-5 today at Mystic Lake Stadium, but perhaps the bigger news was the end of Alfredo Martínez's 30-game hitting streak. "We felt if we could slow down Martínez, we would win the game," the Sabercats manager explained after the game. "They really seemed to feed off of his streak, so we really wanted to make sure they had nothing to feed off of." This season Martínez has hit at a .287 clip with 55 RBIs, 6 home runs and 57 runs scored. |   |
