 | 5-5 Day for Schneider Wednesday, September 25th, 2013 Players get multihit games all the time. But a 5-hit game comes around only once in a blue moon. It happened at Cruz Bay Park when Steve Schneider of Bristol City scattered 5 hits all over the ballpark against the St. John Stingrays. He walloped 5 hits in 5 at-bats in his career-day performance to help the Smugglers get by the Stingrays 9-1. In a talkative and jovial mood after the game, the second baseman of the Smugglers said, "Whoa, my swing was really, really there today. I made some good, sweet-spot contact and when that happens... good things happen... like 5-5. I could get used to a lot of days like this one." Steve Schneider singled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, hit a two-run double in the 4th, singled in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off Ronald Humphrey in the 8th. In 2013 Schneider has hit at a .237 clip with 81 hits, 9 home runs, 42 RBIs and has scored 52 times. |   |
