 | South Carolina's Bell Injured, Out of Lineup Sunday, June 10th, 2012 The South Carolina Bombers were dealt a severe blow when Ed Bell was hurt throwing a pitch recently in a game against the Dallas Texans. After the game, the team trainer reported Bell might have to spend a lengthy time on the disabled list. Today doctors confirmed it, ruling the 38-year-old starting pitcher out for the rest of the season with a partially torn ulnar collateral ligament. They indicated it would take Bell at least 9 months to heal. This season Bell has registered 5 wins and 3 losses in 14 starts with a 4.08 ERA. |   |
