 | Hornets Burnett Injured Wednesday, May 23rd, 2012 Whether he wants it or not, Jerome Burnett of the Eureka Hornets will be getting some R & R -- rest and relaxation. The starting pitcher was hurt in today's Hornets-Earthquakes game while throwing a pitch. Team officials announced after the game that Burnett had suffered a partially torn ulnar collateral ligament and would be out of action for 11 months. To date this season, Burnett has registered 8 starts, 3-3 won-lost mark, 3.35 ERA, 51 IP, 32 strikeouts and 27 walks. Opposing teams have hit .215 against him. |   |
