 | Hit Parade: Johnson Pops 5 Hits Friday, September 11th, 2015 All game long San Diego's Mike Johnson was rattling the walls at Staples Field @ The Rose Bowl and banging out base hits against the So Cal Republic. When the dust finally settled on the diamond, he had a 5-hit day and the Hops had a 15-3 victory. Speaking with reporters after his standout performance, the 31-year-old left fielder said, "Get 5 hits, win a ballgame, it's nice. I could get used to this." Mike Johnson singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, hit an RBI double in the 4th, walked in the 6th and singled in the 8th. For the season Johnson is currently batting .351 with 7 home runs and 63 RBIs. In 117 games he has reached base at a .405 rate and scored 76 runs to date. |   |
