 | Arthur Gardner Hurt, Out of Action Wednesday, September 9th, 2015 The New York Mafia were dealt a severe blow when Arthur Gardner was hurt throwing a pitch recently in a game against the Nottinghamshire Outlaws. After the game, the team trainer reported Gardner might have to spend a lengthy time on the disabled list. Today doctors confirmed it, ruling the 32-year-old starting pitcher out for the rest of the season with a torn rotator cuff. They indicated it would take Gardner at least 4 months to heal. This year Gardner has made 27 starts, thrown 167.1 innings, fanned 95 batters and walked 42. His won-lost record is 12-7 with a 3.66 ERA. |   |
