 | Sasquatch Right Fielder Frend Injured Wednesday, September 2nd, 2015 The Seattle Sasquatch were dealt a severe blow when Steve Frend was hurt colliding with a player at a base recently in a game against the Carolina Crush. After the game, the team trainer reported Frend might have to spend a lengthy time on the disabled list. Today doctors confirmed it, ruling the 26-year-old right fielder out for the rest of the season with a sprained ankle. They indicated it would take Frend at least 5 weeks to heal. Thus far this season Frend is hitting .303 with 22 home runs, 73 RBIs and 99 runs scored. He has 134 hits in 442 at-bats and has played in 123 games. |   |
