 | Baba Blisters San Diego Saturday, August 15th, 2015 It doesn't happen very often, but it happened for Masaki Baba -- a 5-hit day. He went on a rampage at Labatt Bleue Park and paced the Bandits to a 9-3 win over the San Diego Hops. After his dynamite batting performance the Montreal right fielder told the press, "I just tried to get myself in a good count and have a good at-bat. That's all I can control." His philosophy paid some great dividends today. He slammed 5 hits in 5 tries and put his name in the record book. Masaki Baba hit an RBI single in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 8th. Currently Baba is batting .327 with 149 hits and 23 home runs. He has knocked in 94 runs and scored 69 times. |   |
