 | Nottinghamshire's Long to Miss 5-6 Months Sunday, June 14th, 2015 The Nottinghamshire Outlaws were dealt a severe blow when Robert Long was hurt throwing a pitch recently in a game against the Eureka Hornets. After the game, the team trainer reported Long might have to spend a lengthy time on the disabled list. Today doctors confirmed it, ruling the 23-year-old closer out for the rest of the season with a torn labrum. They indicated it would take Long at least 5-6 months to heal. This season Long has rung up 12 saves. He is carrying a 1-1 record with a 0.90 ERA in 20 innings pitched. |   |
