 | Earthquakes Snap Smith's Streak at 20 Sunday, August 24th, 2014 His run was over, but a Minnesota victory took some of the disappointment out of Matt Smith losing his 20-game hitting streak. The 27-year-old center fielder did not get a hit in 4 at-bats, but the Berserkers whipped the San Francisco Earthquakes 8-3 today at Golden Gate Park. So far this season Smith has hit .311 with 11 home runs, 58 RBIs and and scored 72 times. |   |
