 | Pak Touches All Bases, Hits for Cycle Saturday, June 28th, 2014 Ann Arbor's Ki-moon Pak accomplished what few others have been able to do -- he hit for the cycle. In baseball, a player hits for the cycle when he hits a single, a double, a triple and a home run in the same game, though not necessarily in that order. Collecting the hits in that order is known as a "natural cycle."
For the day he finished 4-5 with 2 runs batted in and 2 runs scored and helped his Barn Owls knock off the Montreal Bandits 10-3 at Labatt Bleue Park. In the postgame press conference he said, "I didn't even know I had hit for the cycle until after the game."
Ki-moon Pak hit a solo-shot off Lou Smith in the 2nd, doubled in the 4th, hit an RBI triple in the 5th, singled in the 7th and flied out in the 9th.
This season Pak is batting at a .238 clip with 10 home runs and 34 RBIs. | |
