 | Career Over for Hansen, Major Injury Thursday, June 12th, 2014 Teammates rushed to the side of Washington right fielder Gerald Hansen, when he was hurt in the Washington-Boston game yesterday at St. Sebastian's Cathedral. They were right to be concerned about Hansen -- he had suffered a torn labrum colliding with a player at a base. This type of injury, most likely, not only ends the season for Hansen, but also his career. Hansen is hitting .315 this season with 1 home run, 11 RBIs and 26 runs scored. He has 40 hits in 127 at-bats. |   |
