 | Cruz Picked TML Player of the Week Monday, June 9th, 2014 At the age of 27, Jesús Cruz might have some potential he hasn't realized yet -- if his success at the plate last week is any indication. The Kansas City first baseman put up some exceptional numbers the past seven days with a .545 batting average. For his efforts Cruz collected the Thurman Munson League Player of the Week Award. He racked up 12 hits in 22 at-bats, 2 home runs and 4 RBIs last week in 6 games. So far this season Cruz has put up a .326 batting average with 71 hits, 16 home runs and 43 RBIs. |   |
