 | Bailey's 24-Game Hitting Streak Ends Sunday, May 18th, 2014 It was the best of both worlds for the Seattle Sasquatch today at Sick's Stadium as they defeated the Texas Gunners 11-3 and also ended Victor Bailey's 24-game hitting streak. The 29-year-old Texas left fielder failed to get a hit in 3 at-bats. "Nothing personal against Victor, we just wanted to win the game," said the victorious Sasquatch skipper. "We did a great job keeping him off balance and guessing." When asked by reporters about his streak coming to an end, Bailey frowned and said, "I won't lie and say that I'm not disappointed about my streak ending, but I would feel much better about things if we had won the game." For the year Bailey is batting .346 with 2 home runs, 18 RBIs and 18 runs scored. |   |
