 | 5-Hit Blitz by Bowman Saturday, May 17th, 2014 Sean Bowman told the press after his 5-hit day, "Every batter wants to have a quality at-bat every time he steps up to the plate. He wants to hit the ball hard." Well, that's just what Bowman of the The Georgia Grays did against the San Francisco Earthquakes. He went to the plate 5 times and 5 times he delivered base hits, much to the chagrin of the Earthquakes, who suffered a 11-8 defeat. "Not much that I can say," offered the losing manager, "he just hammered the heck out of us." Sean Bowman hit an RBI double in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, tripled in the 4th, singled in the 6th and doubled in the 8th. Bowman is hitting .254 so far this season with 20 RBIs and 20 runs scored. He has 36 hits including 7 home runs, 15 walks and .325 OBP. |   |
