 | Clark Big Deal in Dallas: Hits for Cycle Wednesday, September 4th, 2013 Dallas's Jesse Clark accomplished what few others have been able to do -- he hit for the cycle. In baseball, a player hits for the cycle when he hits a single, a double, a triple and a home run in the same game, though not necessarily in that order. Collecting the hits in that order is known as a "natural cycle."
For the day he finished 4-5 with 4 runs batted in and 5 runs scored and helped his Texans knock off the Jersey Jesters 19-5 at The Royal Court at Jersey Yards. In the postgame press conference he said, "I didn't even know I had hit for the cycle until after the game."
Jesse Clark doubled in the 1st, walked in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, tripled in the 6th, hit a GRAND SLAM off Dustin Chapman in the 6th and flied out in the 8th.
Batting .343 to date, Clark has 8 home runs and 59 RBIs. | |
