 | Thurman Munson League Names Rookie of Month Sunday, September 1st, 2013 Youngster Luis Castro emerged as the latest Thurman Munson League Rookie of the Month today. The young man from Jersey deserved the honor, batting .333 with 5 home runs and 17 runs batted in. Is the month of August a harbinger of things to come or just a fluke? We'll find out someday, but for now, we'll just let Castro enjoy the limelight. Presently Castro is batting .314 with 49 hits and 6 home runs. He has knocked in 21 runs and scored 30 times. |   |
