 | Republic Kessler Out of Action Wednesday, August 21st, 2013 After injuring himself, Republic shortstop Ben Kessler headed straight to the hospital. He was removed from the game as a precaution after colliding with a player at a base and the team's worst fears were confirmed when it turned out to be a little more serious. Kessler will miss at least 4-5 months with torn ankle ligaments. This season Kessler is batting .277 with 8 home runs. His totals include 40 RBIs and 45 runs scored. |   |
