 | Seattle's Frend RCL #1 Batter in July Thursday, August 1st, 2013 When Steve Frend stepped up to the plate in July, he did it with confidence and today he was honored with the Roberto Clemente League Batter of the Month award. The young Seattle right fielder posted a .383 batting average with 11 home runs, 25 RBIs and scored 27 runs. Frend also worked pitchers for 23 walks to post a .519 on-base percentage. So far on the season Frend is hitting .376 with 30 home runs, 104 RBIs and 102 runs scored. He has 146 hits and played in 102 games. |   |
