 | Bergeron 5-6 for Eureka Friday, July 19th, 2013 All game long Eureka's Mike Bergeron was rattling the walls at Trent Bridge and banging out base hits against the Nottinghamshire Outlaws. When the dust finally settled on the diamond, he had a 5-hit day and the Hornets had a 15-1 victory. Speaking with reporters after his standout performance, the 23-year-old right fielder said, "Get 5 hits, win a ballgame, it's nice. I could get used to this." Mike Bergeron hit an RBI triple in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, doubled in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and struck out in the 9th. Bergeron is batting .350 this season in 97 games with 23 home runs, 79 RBIs and 76 runs scored. He has 130 hits in 371 at-bats. |   |
