Toreros Starting Pitcher Griffith Injured
Tuesday, May 7th, 2013
The Cabo San Lucas Toreros were dealt a severe blow when Edward Griffith was hurt throwing a pitch recently in a game against the Boston Cardinals. After the game, the team trainer reported Griffith might have to spend a lengthy time on the disabled list. Today doctors confirmed it, ruling the 23-year-old starting pitcher out for the rest of the season with a ruptured ulnar collateral ligament. They indicated it would take Griffith at least 9-10 months to heal.

This year in 7 starts, Griffith has recorded 4 wins and absorbed 1 loss. He has pitched 48 innings, allowed 49 hits, struck out 30 and has a 3.56 ERA.
