 | Central League Names Top Player Monday, June 18th, 2012 So far in his young career, Kazuyoshi Suitani has kept a low profile, but after his performance at the plate last week, he attracted the notice of the rest of the Central League in a big way as he was named the Player of the Week today for his efforts. The 22-year-old Chunichi Dragons right fielder hit at a torrid .500 clip as he collected 7 hits in 14 at-bats, 3 home runs, 3 RBIs and 6 runs scored. For the season Suitani is batting .343 with 58 hits and 17 home runs. He has scored 44 times and batted in 42. |   |
