 | Central League Premier Pitcher is Tsjui Tuesday, July 1st, 2014 Sumitomo Tsjui was a long shot to make the Hanshin Tigers this year, especially being a 32-year-old rookie. Now the Hanshin hurler has parlayed a 3-0 record into the Central League Pitcher of the Month award. In June, he chalked up 24 strikeouts in 26 innings and compiled a 0.69 ERA. This season Tsjui has crafted a 5-0 mark with a 1.13 ERA in 64 innings. Opposing clubs are batting .201 against him and he has 51 strikeouts. |   |
