 | Takahashi Must Sit Out 3 Games Saturday, June 8th, 2013 The agitation was hot and heavy at Ballpark of Yamagata College yesterday. After a called third strike Giants shortstop Kazunari Takahashi protested the call in no uncertain terms. While he and the home plate umpire were jawing face-to-face, a few bumps took place and Takahashi was ejected from the game. "It was verbal, nothing more," according to Takahashi. However, the league frowned on what transpired and suspended him for 3 games. "The league will never tolerate a player touching an umpire in anger," the commissioner said in the suspension notification. To date this season Takahashi is hitting .195 with 1 home run. |   |
