 | Hobbs Launches 3 HR for Outlaws Wednesday, June 11th, 2014 Bigger paychecks might be in the offing, if Mike Hobbs continues to hit like he did today against the Royales. The Calgary catcher crushed three into the stands at Eliminators Ballpark in a remarkable performance, propelling the Outlaws to a 31-14 win over Montreal.
He tagged 5 hits in 6 at-bats, drove in 8 runs and scored 5 times.
Speaking to writers after the game, he said, "It was just one of those days when you got something to hit and did something with it." The Montreal skipper agreed with him. "We made three mistakes and he made us pay each time."
Mike Hobbs struck out in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Bryan Daley in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, hit a two-run home run off Dave Simonds in the 7th, walked in the 8th, walked in the 9th and hit a GRAND SLAM off Dave Winters in the 9th.
