 | Fuller Launches 3 HR for Cougars Sunday, May 18th, 2014 Fans seated in the bleacher section at Ballpark of Celebration College were taking cover all day long as Ray Fuller took aim, rattling three long blasts off the seats in a display of Herculean power. Days like this are rare. After his amazing performance in Houston's 21-4 triumph over the Texas Longhorns, the third baseman's name will soon be added into the record books. He told reporters at the postgame press conference, "I told myself not to press on the last one. I knew I couldn't force it... that it has to be a nice easy swing." For the game he collected 4 hits in 7 at-bats, batted in 5 and scored 3 runs. Ray Fuller flied out in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Gilberto Valdés in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Millard Conley in the 4th, flied out in the 5th, hit a three-run home run off Collin Powell in the 7th and flied out in the 9th. This season Fuller is swinging the bat at a .228 pace. He has hit 4 home runs and scored 12 times, while driving in 19. His on-base percentage is .266 and he has played in 41 games. |   |
