 | 5-5 Day for Hardy Saturday, May 3rd, 2014 Ole Miss shortstop Julian Hardy put on quite a show at Ballpark of Wrightsville College with a big 5-hit day in the 15-7 victory over the Washington State Cougars. In the postgame interview, he said with a smile, "Not a bad day at the plate... 5-5... wish I could do this more often. It would do wonders for my batting average... and my salary, too." Julian Hardy singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off Marcos Martínez in the 8th. This year Hardy is hitting .254, produced 8 RBIs and 4 home runs, scored 16 times and gotten on base at a .304 rate. |   |
