 | Bean Tames Golden Bears Monday, April 29th, 2013 The California Golden Bears struggled at the plate today against Aggies hurler Kip Bean, who shackled them on 2 hits while hurling a complete game 1-0 shutout. "What can you say? We didn't hit well," said the Golden Bears skipper in his postgame comments. "Hopefully we shake this off and bounce back tomorrow." Bean finished the game with 8 strikeouts and 1 walk in an excellent mound performance. "He pitched real well," his manager said. "Kip made pitches when he had to. He hit his spots and did a great job of mixing in his changeup and using his fastball effectively." For the season Bean has logged 3 wins and 2 losses and struck out 33 batters in 34.2 innings while compiling a 3.12 ERA. |   |
