 | AHL's Star Player Named Monday, September 10th, 2012 It can be difficult for a young player to step out of the shadows and assert himself in the August Herrman League, but last week Ken Gourin of the Dearborn Pioneers reminded everyone just why he's here as he threw up numbers that made him an easy selection for Player of the Week. Gourin rocked opposing pitching for a .452 average (14-31), no home runs and 1 RBIs to come away with the award. On the season, Gourin is batting .291 with 7 home runs and 31 RBIs.
