 | July's Premier Pitcher Announced By AHL Friday, August 1st, 2014 Joe McLernon has made fans throughout Single A take notice over the past month with an exceptional 5-0 record. No pitcher in the August Herrman League threw better in July, garnering him the Pitcher of the Month award today. In 6 starts McLernon compiled a 0.86 ERA, putting up a 5-0 record, striking out 37 and tossing 42 innings. So far this year McLernon has made 22 starts, tossed 140 innings, struck out 119 batters and walked 50. His record is 10-4 with a 2.64 ERA and he has limited opposing teams to a .195 batting average. |   |
