 | AHL Premier Pitcher is Huntsville's Reid Sunday, September 1st, 2013 There's something about a young rookie winning the August Herrman League Pitcher of the Month trophy that sends shock waves through the league. Such is the case with William Reid, a 22-year-old starter for the Huntsville Sabercats. In August, he topped off the month with a 3-1 mark and 1.07 ERA in 6 starts, tossed 42 innings, fanned 39 and held opposing teams to a .159 average. This year Reid has made 13 starts, thrown 86.2 innings, fanned 81 batters and walked 28. His won-lost record is 6-2 with a 1.77 ERA. |   |
