 | Russell ACL's #1 Pitcher in September Wednesday, October 1st, 2014 Bill Russell took a much-deserved turn in the spotlight earlier today as he accepted the Alexander Cartwright League Pitcher of the Month award for September. The 24-year-old Hackers starter is a relative newcomer to the league, but nonetheless racked up an impressive 5-1 won-lost record in 6 starts. This month he fanned 46 batters in 43.2 innings and compiled a 2.27 ERA. In 34 starts this year Russell has recorded a 15-12 record and a 3.86 ERA. |   |
