 | Goodwin Bashes 5 Base Hits Sunday, May 25th, 2014 There are moments in a player's career that are etched into their memories forever. Chris Goodwin of the Sandy Springs Spartans had one of those moments when he went 5 for 6 at the plate today in the 18-9 win over the Madison Beehive at The Hive. The 25-year-old left fielder told reporters in the postgame interview, "This is a day I won't forget soon, but I'll settle to just get a hit or two every day... enough hits to hang around the league a little bit longer... like 10... 15 more years maybe." Chris Goodwin singled in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, singled in the 7th and struck out in the 9th. Thus far this year Goodwin is batting .400 with 2 home runs, 9 RBIs and 8 runs scored. |   |
