 | Argonauts McConnell Suspended Wednesday, September 12th, 2012 Astoria's Kevin McConnell has been given a 4-game suspension for his outburst following an ejection in a recent game with the Antioch Coal Miners at Golden Fleece Park. He was called out on a third strike by the plate umpire and halted the game to argue about it. The disgusted McConnell slowly walked back to the dugout with bat in hand, but suddenly turned around and headed toward the umpire. He was stopped by the on-deck hitter and third base coach as his manager continued to argue the call. A moment later, McConnell was ejected. So far on the season McConnell is hitting .269 with 9 home runs, 37 RBIs and 35 runs scored. He has 58 hits and played in 60 games. |   |
