 | Smith Named KSL Batter of the Month Monday, September 1st, 2014 Mark Smith is not used to being associated with Batter of the Month-caliber players, but today the Indian Wells first baseman joined that select company when the Kade Stenson League announced the results of August's voting. Smith totaled 43 hits, 13 walks, 10 home runs, 30 RBIs and 32 runs scored last month to put together a .387 batting average and .441 on-base percentage. So far this season Smith has 29 home runs and a .325 batting average. |   |
