 | Garrett's Hit Streak Soars to 20 Games Monday, August 11th, 2014 The Birmingham Bobcats suffered a 9-3 setback today at the hands of the Indian Wells Aeropostales at Bobcats Field, but their hot-hitting second baseman Alec Garrett went 1-for-4 and stretched his consecutive-game hitting streak to 20 games. Alec Garrett grounded out in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, grounded out in the 5th and struck out in the 7th. Thus far this season Garrett is hitting .273 with 6 home runs, 47 RBIs and 58 runs scored. He has 96 hits in 352 at-bats and has played in 89 games. |   |
