 | Martínez Boosts Hit Streak to 25 Games Friday, September 20th, 2013 The Birmingham Bobcats suffered a 8-5 setback today at the hands of the Indian Wells Aeropostales at Stars Field, but their hot-hitting left fielder Alfredo Martínez went 1-for-3 and stretched his consecutive-game hitting streak to 25 games. Alfredo Martínez grounded out in the 1st, hit a two-run single in the 2nd and grounded out in the 5th. This year Martínez is hitting at a .285 pace with 6 home runs and 52 RBIs.
