Matt Welch, the Fort Worth Cats 24-year-old right fielder, put himself in the spotlight last week making him the clear-cut choice for Kade Stenson League Player of the Week honors. He ripped 12 hits in 23 at-bats, compiling a .522 average with 4 home runs and 5 RBIs. Currently Welch has 18 home runs and a .366 batting average. |   |
